What is FECO/RSO?
Rick Simpson Oil is a cannabis concentrate used for various medical benefits, including relieving cancer symptoms. RSO can be applied as a topical, ingested in food or drinks, or taken orally on its own.
RSO was originally created by Rick Simpson to treat his own skin cancer.
RSO is discreet and odorless.
Different Ways to Use RSO
It is highly recommended that medical patients should always consult their physician before starting any new treatment regimen and proceed with caution.
Basic RSO Regimen
When looking for symptom relief for a condition or you are wanting to reap the medicinal benefits of RSO, the goal is to gradually consume 60 grams of RSO over a 90-day period.
Week 1: Start with 3 doses every day. Each dose should be the size of a half a grain of rice and consumed every 8 hours. The first does will be about ¼ drop of RSO.
Week 2 – Week 5: Double your dose every 4 days.
Week 5 – Week 12: Take 1 gram of RSO daily until you have consumed the full 60 grams. You can expect to take about 8-9 rice-sized drops of RSO every 8 hours.
Continued Regimen
If you would like to continue your RSO regimen after the initial 12-week regimen, do so with caution and at a significantly reduced consumption rate; 1 to 2 grams of RSO per month is plenty for maintenance dosing.
Side Effects
Sleepiness: natural part of healing process and should fade within 3 to 4 weeks.
Taste: slightly bitter or unpleasant, swallow directly or mix with food to help mask the taste.
High doses of THC: may cause increased heart rate, anxiety, dizziness, nausea, and difficulty with concentration. CBD may be used in conjunction with RSO to counteract the negative side effects of THC.
Topical Use
RSO can be applied topically to skin cancers. Place a small amount on the affected area and cover with a bandage, changing the bandage and applying more RSO every 1 to 3 days. After the area has healed, it is recommended to continue applying RSO for at least 2 additional weeks. Many patients report that over time, the cancerous spots will dry, crack, and diminish.
Can you smoke or dab RSO? What kind of solvent was used to make the RSO?
If a highly flammable solvent was used, do not attempt to smoke, or dab RSO.
COCO’s FECO/RSO was made using Ethanol- smoking or dabbing is not recommended, as Ethanol is a highly flammable solvent. Always check which solvent was used to create the RSO you intend to purchase/consume.
Cooking with RSO
RSO is “activated” (does not require pre-cooking to activate ingredients) and can be added to baking ingredients, used as cooking oil, drizzled over any type of food.
Always remember to ask questions about medical cannabis products you may be unfamiliar with consuming, understand the intended uses of medical cannabis products before purchasing, and always consume responsibly.
