Medical decisions should not be made based on advertising. Consult a physician on the benefits and risks of particular medical marijuana products.
“I purchased 3.5g of cannabis flower, but when I got home, my home scale showed a lower weight than 3.5g- why is my purchase not weighing exactly 3.5g?”
In Missouri, licensed medical cannabis facilities are required to follow the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Regulation 19 CSR 30(4)(G)2, which states:
“All weighing and measuring of medical marijuana required by this rule must be conducted with a National Type Evaluation Program approved scale, which shall be capable of weighing and measuring accuracy at all times and recalibrated at least yearly.”
At COCO Dispensaries, we adhere to the State Regulations and our scales are certified and calibrated annually by the State of Missouri for accuracy- while most home scales are not.
Packaged flower products also experience moisture loss at the rate of about 1 gram per month- notice the word ‘about’- how much evaporation depends on how airtight the package is and the current climate.
